Trina Milán's picture

Since some years ago, the Internet has had a leading role in the world. Going beyond post-modernity, the largest businesses in the stock markets are more like Google than classic companies. From the 3rd to the 5th of October, Barcelona held the 25th International Meeting of Prayer for Peace. Without exaggeration, we can say that this Meeting was a success. We can also say that 5,000 people from other countries went back home after having fallen in love with Barcelona as well as the other cities in Catalonia where related-events took place, such as Tarragona, Vic, Manresa, Terrassa, Badalona, and Sant Feliu de Llobregat.

Catalunya works for peace

Albert Caramés's picture

In 1986, Catalunya was one of the four autonomous communities (with the Canary Islands, Navarra and Euskadi) that voted against the continued membership of Spain in NATO. Since then, the Olympic Games of 1992 and the indisputable tourist attraction offer have put Catalunya on the map. Despite this, one of the things that makes me proud of my nation is the effort made to achieve a pacific environment.
